Alisa Barrett is in her 19th year in education, and is currently in her seventh year as the Director of Instruction for Greenfield Exempted Village Schools. She has taught kindergarten, first, and third grade in Tennessee and Ohio. Greenfield Exempted Village Schools was recognized as the first district to receive the Visible Learning Certified+ award in July of 2023. Alisa has led the district's Visible Learning work since its inception and strives to continue deep implementation of evidence-based practices and creating self-assessment capable learners in all preschool through twelfth-grade classrooms. Alisa is a graduate of Oakland City University ('05 B.A. in Elementary Education) and The University of Akron ('11 M.A. in Instructional Technology). She is a doctoral candidate studying Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Virginia.
