This fall is an ideal time for schools and districts to take a more cohesive, collaborative, and community-oriented approach to mathematics learning. Discover the benefits of working closely with colleagues through a Mathematics Whole School Agreement (MWSA) and the advantages that partnering with families has on children’s mathematics development. Both approaches—especially when combined—target students’ learning needs in new ways and move them forward through deep and meaningful mathematics learning. Join Drs. Karen Karp, Sarah Bush, Barbara Dougherty, and Hilary Kreisberg for an energizing discussion on powerful practices that every school leader and teacher of mathematics should implement.

Participants will learn

  • The benefits and necessity of a MWSA to provide the stability and consistency students need to reacclimate to the learning environment moving forward
  • How to bring all stakeholders into the conversation, including those that work in the school and district, as well as parents, caregivers, and families
  • How to leverage students', teachers', and families’ strengths to make high quality mathematics learning commonplace in all classrooms
