Kim West is an International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) Coordinator in Dallas Independent School District with 26 years in education. Kim began her career as a fourth-grade self-contained teacher, then transitioned to teaching math and science in second through sixth grades for the next 15 years. She was a math instructional coach for four years before becoming the PYP coordinator at Kramer IB World School in the Dallas Independent School District in Dallas, Texas. Kim is passionate about helping educators create agentic learning environments that empower students to have voice, choice, and ownership over their learning. She has an MA in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in mathematics and science.
