PD Resource Center

We know the PD Resource Center isn't as simply defined as some of our other products.
Is it consulting? Is it an eCourse? What value does it provide to my clients?

Here are some answers to the common questions we get:

1. What is the PD Resource Center (PDRC)?

The PDRC is an online collection of materials which PD Facilitators can use to deliver sustained professional development throughout the year.

2. Why would someone use the PDRC?

Schools that are rural or schools that don't have big budgets might use the PDRC because it's a far smaller cost than bringing in an external consultant. For only $499, they can purchase access to all of the expertly-curated resources they'll need to facilitate PD internally.

Alternatively, schools that have already gone through consulting or workshops might use the PDRC to reinforce their learning when the consultant leaves and ensure that learning "sticks."

3. What kinds of resources are included in a PDRC?

The resources vary depending on the PDRC, but most of them include videos, PowerPoints, handouts, and activities. All of them include the Facilitator's Guide, which takes the PD Facilitator through the resources step-by-step and offers advice for how to present the information inside.

To see what resources are included in each individual PDRC, check out the individual pages for them (below).

4. Do customers gain access with a subscription that will need to be renewed every year?

Not anymore! In 2017, we made the PDRC available for purchase. Now, our customers can purchase the PDRC and gain access to the online platform and all of the resources on it for 5 years. After those five years, they can download any of the resources they want to use onto a secure device or they can pay a small hosting fee ($10-15) to continue using the online platform at pdrc.corwin.com.
