Further Education and Skills
Self assessment activities measure progress towards the 'Planning and Enabling Learning' and 'Principles and Practice of Assessment' mandatory units, and there are links to the PTLLS mandatory unit and the optional units. Detailed guidance on how to demonstrate and evidence competence is provided so that candidates can prepare for and complete their formal assessments with confidence.
"An essential read for every new lecturer." Lecturer, Middlesbrough College
everything you need to know when passing ctlls course
A good book, however, student's seem to think it can replace more appropriate research, i.e. they use it as a short-cut!
Although not currently mapped against the Units for the new CTLLS the Chapter headings provide signposting to relevant outcomes. This makes it easy for candidates and Centres to locate relevant information to either develop valid assessment tasks or guide candidates toward appropriate evidence.
A good book that will assist individuals with their CTLLS course.
Is a useful guide for students with limited teaching experience.
This book will not be very useful for the new standards when we deliver this course in the future. It also does not provide additional information that cannot be found by wider reading.
