Return Policy

  • Return Policy for Individual Customers
    Individuals have sixty (60) days from the date of purchase to return items in saleable condition. 
    Return freight charges are the responsibility of the customer. Freight collect shipments will not be accepted. For your protection, we recommend using a traceable shipping method or insured Parcel Post.
    Examination Copies

    Software, CD and Video
    Returnable only if unopened
     
  • Return Policy for College Stores, Retail Bookstores and Wholesalers
    Authorization: No prior authorization is required.
    Requirements: All returns must be in their original and/or unopened sealed condition. Returns will be accepted for the life of the edition and up to 180 days after declared out of print. The original invoice number on which the products were purchased and the reason for the return must accompany all returns.
    Claims: Products received damaged must be reported to Corwin within 30 days of delivery.
    Nonreturnable Products: Video-audio tapes, opened (broken seal) multimedia, including software in the form of diskettes, CD-ROMs, or purchases made on a nonreturnable basis are nonreturnable. Items returned damaged will not be issued credit. Customers will be notified of damaged returns and have the option of requesting that the damaged product be returned to them, at their expense.

General Adoption Review Policies and Information

By completing and returning the adoption review request form, you indicate that you understand titles are available on a complimentary basis, and that you have read and agreed to the adoption review policies. Corwin reserves the right to review and approve all requests. Adoption Review Policies are subject to change without notice. All prices quoted are the publisher's list price in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice.

Complimentary Review Copies 
Please note the following policies:

  • A minimum annual course enrollment of 15 students is required to receive complimentary review copies.
  • Please limit your complimentary copy requests to two titles per course, and a maximum of 10 complimentary review copies per calendar year per faculty member, so that we can continue to publish high quality texts at affordable prices.
  • You may request up to four books/copies at one time via the web. Should you need to request more than four books/copies, please call Customer Service at 1-800-233-9936 or email adopt@corwinpress.com.

Should you adopt a Corwin complimentary review title for your course, we ask that you please call Corwin Customer Care at 1-800-233-9936. We will update your customer record to indicate that you have adopted the text and note that the book is a complimentary desk copy for you to keep and use in teaching your course.
