How “Connectedness” Empowers Learning

For educators today, being connected isn’t an option, it’s a requirement. Educators Tom Whitby and Steven Anderson discuss their own paths to connectedness and how other educators can follow in their footsteps. Participants will examine what qualities a Connected Educator exhibits and how every educator, in their own way, can use those qualities to extend learning for themselves and their students.

Participants will learn how to:

• Find and choose the best social media tools, products, and communities
• Start and grow a collaborative, high-quality PLN using Twitter, blogging, LinkedIn, and more
• Use social media to enhance 21st Century education
• Engage in authentic personal and professional learning
