Michael L. Wehmeyer

Michael L. Wehmeyer, Ph.D. is Professor of Special Education; Director, Kansas University Center on Developmental Disabilities; and Associate Director, Beach Center on Disability, all at the University of Kansas. Dr. Wehmeyer is engaged in teacher personnel preparation in the area of severe, multiple disabilities and directs multiple federally funded projects conducting research and model development in the education of students with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Carl J. Weingartner has been an educator for over 46 years. He taught 11 years at the junior high and elementary levels in Gallup-McKinley County School District, Gallup, NM, Midwest City/Del City School District, Midwest City, OK and Albuquerque Public Schools District, Albuquerque, NM. He served as a junior high and elementary principal for 22 years in the Albuquerque Public Schools. He considers himself a practitioner rather than a researcher.

L. David Weller

L. David Weller, Jr. is a professor in the Department of Educational Leadership at the University of Georgia. He has been a high school teacher, a middle school principal, and department head of middle school education at the University of Georgia. Weller serves a consultant to public and private schools and universities in the areas of organizational development and Total Quality management, and has served as a visiting lecturer at several British universities.

Syvia J. Weller is assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction for Barrow County Schools in Barrow County, Georgia. She has been a high school teacher of gifted and advanced placement English, an assistant principal, personnel director, and director of secondary curriculum. Weller has won many awards for her teaching and leaderships skills.

Christopher W. Wells

Christopher Wells is the IT policies and communications director for Gwinnett County Public Schools, the largest school district in Georgia. With more than 160,000 students in the district, he responds to the diverse, creative ways technology is being used in classrooms. Christopher presents regularly and his enthusiasm for his topic material is contagious (even if the audience thinks that technology policies and procedures are boring!).
