Garth Sundem

Garth Sundem is an educational consultant and curriculum writer. A former language arts and music teacher, Mr. Sundem has published more than 15 books, primarily on the subjects of literacy and social studies. A graduate of Cornell University, he earned a Masters Degree in Music Theory and Composition. He presents at local and national education conferences and facilitates in-service trainings across the U.S.

Gail L. Sunderman

Gail L. Sunderman is a senior research associate in K–12 Education for the Civil Rights Project at UCLA. Her research focuses on educational policy and politics, and urban school reform, including the development and implementation of education policy and the impact of policy on the educational opportunities for at-risk students.

Judy Swanson

Judy Swanson leads a not-for-profit research and evaluation firm, Research for Quality Schools, in Seattle, WA. For 20 years she has conducted research in urban schools throughout the US. Her expertise and recent research has focused on teacher leadership, professional development for instructional improvement, and teacher development at all stages of a teacher's career. She has worked with CSTP to develop and facilitate case writing retreats for teacher leaders since 2003.

Swanson, Kristen

Kristen Nicole Swanson

Kristen Swanson helps teachers design meaningful, interactive curricula at the local and national level. She has taught at the elementary level, served as a regional consultant for Response to Intervention, and worked as an educational technology director for a public school district in Pennsylvania. She holds a B.A. degree from DeSales University, two M.A. degrees from Wilkes University, and an Ed.D. degree from Widener University.
