Mekhitarian, Stepan

Stepan Mekhitarian

Dr. Stepan Mekhitarian serves as the Director of Innovation, Instruction, Assessment, and Accountability for Glendale Unified School District, and he was one of the main leaders responsible for transitioning the large district to distance learning in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Stepan previously served as the Coordinator of Data and Blended Learning in Los Angeles Unified School District.

Janice Melichar-Utter

Janice Melichar-Utter has worked with students at all levels from preschool to college during her thirty-four years in education. She was an adjunct professor at Mount Saint Mary College teaching Foundations of Literacy. Presently, Jan tutors women recovering from substance abuse.

Jacquelyn Ann Melin

Jacquelyn Melin is Affiliate Professor at Grand Valley State University, where she teaches classes in curriculum development and differentiated instruction.  She also has served as the Director of the School of Education Student Information and Services Center.  She was a public school educator in Rockford, Michigan for 32 1/2 years, serving as an elementary and middle school teacher, as teacher/coordinator of gifted and talented students and as an elementary principal.

Daryl F. Mellard

Daryl F. Mellard is a research associate within the Center for Research on Learning and director of the Division of Adult Studies at the University of Kansas. His current projects address assessment and services to children and youth with learning disabilities, reading comprehension, and adult literacy.



Hal R. Melnick

Dr. Harold R. Melnick is a faculty member of the Leadership in the Math Education program at Bank Street College of Education in NYC. He teaches courses in Math Education for new and tenured teachers and for math coaches. Dr. Melnick began his career as an elementary school teacher in the New York City public schools where he studied in and taught Madison Project courses for NYC teachers across the city.
