Frank Lyman

Frank Lyman was an elementary school teacher and a field-based educator of both university students and classroom teachers, K-12, from 1960 to 1996. He discovered and collaborated in the development of teaching strategies such as Think-Pair-Share, cognitive mapping, and the ThinkTrix. He worked with teachers, graduate students, and university colleagues to develop reflective teacher tools, such as theory-practice templates and a problem solving/research design.

Ann Maccagnano is a gifted and talented specialist in the Kenmore Town of Tonawanda School District in New York. A teacher of gifted students for the past 11 years, Maccagnano has a master’s degree in elementary education with a Gifted Education Extension Certificate and has received the Outstanding Undergraduate in Elementary Education (OUEE) Finalist Award.

Lawrence A. Machi is a Professor Emeritus of Organizational Leadership at the University of La Verne, in La Verne, California. He holds an MA in curriculum development and an Ed.D. in organizational leadership. He has taught research methods and design, and has chaired doctoral dissertation research in addition to teaching classes in organizational development.
