Joyce Kaser is a Senior Program Associate in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Program at WestEd. She has extensive experience in program evaluation, primarily the evaluation of STEM programs. She has served as a team member for the development of two frameworks for the National Assessment of Educational Progress: Science, 2009 and Technology and Engineering Literacy, 2014.

Susan K. Katt

Susie Katt is the K-2 Mathematics Coordinator in Lincoln, Nebraska. In this role, she coordinates professional development, assessment, and curriculum development. Susie is an author for a national mathematics curriculum. She frequently speaks at state, regional, and national conferences. Susie is a special appointment lecturer for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, a Robert Noyce Master Teaching Fellow, and a member of various state committees.

Anne Katz, PhD, has worked for 20 years as a researcher and evaluator for projects connected with the education of linguistically and culturally diverse students. She served as the coprincipal investigator for the national study focused on successful leadership in diverse school settings that provided the empirical base for this book. As a teacher educator, she has provided and sup­ported professional development in the United States, Brazil, and Egypt.

Neil H. Katz

Neil H Katz is committed to self-actualization, nonviolence, and participative decision making as a way to influence change among individuals and in organizations and society. His primary interest is facilitating interactive learning and skill development about conflict and its resolution. Katz serves in a leadership capacity in five different conflict resolution programs in the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs Syracuse University.

Steven Katz is the director of Aporia Consulting Ltd. and a faculty member in the Applied Psychology and Human Development at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto (OISE, UT), where he teaches in the Child Study and Education graduate program. He is the recipient of the OISE, UT- wide award for teaching excellence. Steven has a PhD in human development and applied psychology, with specialization in applied cognitive science.
