Susan L. Hall is founder and president of the 95 Percent Group Inc., which focuses on early childhood reading education and small-group intervention to give 95% of kindergarten through third grade students the opportunity to read at or above their grade level. A frequent speaker and lecturer, she also serves on the advisory board of the Neuhaus Education Center.
Ken Halla has been a high school teacher social studies teacher, department chair and advanced placement coordinator for the past twenty-two years. Halla initiated a pilot for e-books which led to all 7-12th graders using e-books in social studies in Fairfax County, VA. Additionally he has been an online teacher and chair for the past nine years and has a popular blog technology and pedagogy blog which receives 65,000 pageviews a month.
Dr. Sara Hamerla is an ELL Administrator in the Newton Public Schools. She has taught English as a second language and served as an administrator in public schools in Massachusetts.
Dr. Arran Hamilton is Group Director-Strategy at Cognition Education. His early career included teaching and research at Warwick University and a stint in adult and community in adult and community education. Arran transitioned into education consultancy more than 15 years ago, and has held senior positions at Cambridge Assessment, Nord Anglia Education, Education Development Trust (formerly CfBT) and the British Council.
Dr. James Hamilton is currently a managing director at the American Institutes for Research (AIR). He is Principal Investigator of the ACCESS Center, which is providing technical assistance to states and school districts to help students with disabilities gain access to the general education curriculum.
Peggy Hammeken began her career as an elementary teacher in the American Embassy School in Mexico City. Upon return to the United States, she taught students in the areas of specific learning disabilities, mental retardation, and emotional/behavior disorders. With the implementation of inclusive education, she was involved with the set-up of inclusive programs and staff development and training for educators and paraprofessionals. She has authored three books on the subject.
Elizabeth Hammerman is a dedicated science educator and consultant. Her professional background includes teaching science at the middle school and high school levels and over 20 years of experience teaching university science education courses and co-directing funded grant projects. She has done extensive professional development with teachers in the field, specializing in curriculum development and implementation, performance assessment, and effective teaching and learning.
Constance Hanel is currently working as a school counselor and skills coach for youth K-12. With her background as a prevention specialist, Hanel has focused on working with at-risk children on alternative skill building. She mentors youth in leadership roles and is the co-creator of the youth leadership program Operation Kids-Real Life Learning.
