Charles M. Achilles is Professor of Educational Leadership, College of Education, Eastern Michigan University (EMU). He received his doctorate in Educational Administration from the University of Rochester and worked briefly at the (former) U.S. Office of Education, for 21 years at the Bureau of Educational Research and Service, The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, for 6 years at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro; and since 1994 at EMU.
Eleanor Adam consults internationally in the areas of leadership, change and learning and is a Senior Consultant for the Michael Fullan Enterprises Capacity Building team. She has worked with educators in a variety countries and states to improve and deepen learning for all students through excellence in classroom instruction and principal and district leadership.
Lisa Garriott Adams is Clinical Director of the Autism Asperger Resource Center in Kansas City. Dr. Adams received her doctorate in special educa-tion from the University of Kansas in 2003. Specialty/interest areas include increasing the play and socialization skills of children and youth with autism spectrum disorders and emotional behavioral disorders.
Thomasenia Lott Adams, PhD, is a mathematics teacher educator/researcher in the School of Teaching & Learning and the Associate Dean of Research (ADR) in the College of Education at the University of Florida (UF), Gainesville, FL. Dr.
Susan Addington is a professor of Mathematics at California State University,San Bernardino. Though her doctoral work was in arithmetic algebraic geometry (a field that includes almost every mathematical area except statistics),she now spends most of her time thinking about math education. Her educational interests include teacher preparation (elementary through college), ethnomathematics, and the use of technology to teach traditionally difficult ideas.
Howard S. Adelman is professor of psychology and codirector of the School Mental Health Project and its federally supported National Center for Mental Health in Schools at UCLA. He began his professional career as a remedial classroom teacher in 1960. In 1973, he returned to UCLA in the role of professor of psychology and also was the director of the Fernald School and Laboratory until 1986.
